Chrysoprase is a variety of chalcedony, a form of silica, containing nickel. Normally an apple-green but occasionally to a deep green. Interestingly, this is part of the group called cryptocrystalline, meaning the crystal particles are so fine they can not been seen under normal magnification. Others in this group are onyx, agate and carnelian. These bring good fortune and prosperity, helping you recognise the beauty within.
